Business Litigation

We are actively engaged in all aspects of business litigation, including partnership and corporate disputes, unfair competition, real estate, fraud and contract disputes. Our litigation experience has involved the full range of pretrial and trial work, including obtaining preliminary injunctions, trying cases both to juries and judges, and handling cases on appeal. We also represent clients in disputes throughout the United States and assist them in their litigation requirements throughout the world through our international contacts and affiliations. We have extensive experience in arbitration, mediation and settlement negotiations, and have served as settlement officers, judge pro tem, arbitrators and mediators throughout the Los Angeles Superior Court system.

Employment

We represent employers, corporate officers, employees and workers in a wide range of employment issues, including claims for wrongful termination, discrimination and sexual harassment. We also represent employers and senior management level employees in establishing employment policies and in negotiating and structuring employment and compensation arrangements, including deferred compensation, profit participation, and stock options.

Directors and Officers

We have extensive experience in representing directors and officers in litigation brought by shareholders and third parties. We counsel directors and officers in ways to minimize their exposure and to obtain proper and adequate insurance to mitigate any potential losses. We also have been instrumental in creating new law regarding the rights of officers and directors to obtain indemnification from their employers.
